Suitor – Shipping Policy
Effective Date: 4th July 2025
These Shipping Terms and Conditions form part of your rental agreement with Suitor. By placing an order, you confirm your understanding and acceptance of the following delivery-related terms, in line with UK consumer law.
1. Customer-Selected Delivery Date
1.1 At checkout, you’ll select your preferred delivery date. This becomes the agreed contractual delivery date under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
1.2 Suitor will dispatch your order in advance to ensure it arrives on or before your selected date.
1.3 For added peace of mind, we recommend selecting a delivery date at least 3–5 days prior to your event. This gives you extra time to try everything on, request any size swaps (in the unlikely event) if needed, and get event-ready without last-minute stress.
2. Delivery Method
2.1 Orders are sent via tracked, next-day courier services (primarily DPD Local).
2.2You can manage your delivery preferences (such as safe place, pickup point, or redelivery) via the DPD app or tracking link provided. You can also add additional delivery notes on the checkout page of our website.
2.3 Deliveries may require a signature unless you authorise an alternative (e.g., safe place, neighbour, or pickup shop) via the courier system.
2.4 If you select a delivery date that is within 2 business days of placing your order, a £7 express shipping charge will apply. This express charge is non-refundable once your parcel has been dispatched.
3. What Constitutes Delivery Fulfilment
Delivery is considered complete when any of the following occurs:

The parcel is delivered and signed for at the shipping address;

The parcel is delivered to a safe place, neighbour, concierge, or pickup location authorised by the customer;

A delivery attempt is made at the address provided on the agreed delivery date and the customer does not act to rearrange or collect the parcel.
Where any of the above occurs, Suitor’s delivery obligation will be considered fulfilled under contract and law.
4. Missed Deliveries and Customer Inaction
4.1 If you’re unavailable to accept delivery, the courier will leave a delivery notice or contact you electronically.
4.2 Customers are expected to:

Monitor the delivery tracking;

Respond to missed delivery notices;

Collect the parcel or arrange redelivery within the timeframe provided by the courier.
4.3 If delivery is attempted on your chosen date and the parcel is not collected, accepted, or rearranged, we regret that we will be unable to issue a refund.
4.4 Suitor cannot be held responsible for missed events, deadlines, or other consequences resulting from unavailability or delays in responding to courier communications.
5. Customer Responsibilities
By placing an order, you acknowledge that you:

Will be available on the selected delivery date or will have made suitable alternative arrangements (like requesting to leave your parcel in a safe place);

Have provided accurate delivery and contact information;

Will actively monitor tracking and respond to any courier communications in a timely manner.
6. Disputes and Evidence
Suitor maintains delivery evidence including GPS logs, timestamps, courier records, and delivery attempt photos where available. These may be used to support our position if a delivery dispute arises.
7. Returns
7.1 All rental orders include a prepaid physical returns label and return packaging. You are responsible for returning the items by the end of your rental period. If you misplace your label, you can request a replacement at https://suitor.co.uk/request-return-label/.
7.2 If items are not returned by the agreed return date, a late fee of £15 per day will be charged for each day past the return deadline until the items are received.
7.3 Your order is deemed as returned once the return shipping label has been scanned at a local post office or DPD return dropoff point.
7.4 If you ordered a backup suit, please place all used garments inside the laundry bag provided with your order. It helps our team separate what has and hasn’t been worn.
